petrichorus prologue
A downloadable game for Windows
This game is dedicated to those
who have had the opportunity to love
even if just once in their time
and
those who feel they may have wasted time
loving.
You have not.
Look north of The Great City and you'll find the Salt Coast, a territory which has been claimed and unclaimed time and time again. After the great flood, it's mostly been abandoned - yet hikers, people searching, still visit it in search of escape, healing, or even treasure.
Step into the shoes of the puck, a city thing of man, who ventures into the wilderness to reconnect with life outside their comfort zone.
FEATURES: Get lost in the world, interact with quirky characters, ascend to the glacial lakes, and support the puck in their journey. The game's artwork was made using a combination of digital and analogue techniques, such as watercolours, pixel art, film photography and pre-rendered 3d assets.
TEAM: Petrichorus's prologue was written and developed by Cuttlefresh in RPG Maker 2003. Writing contributions were made by Tayfun, Kilian and JojoW. Playtested by Viktor. Also features the "Silver" font by Poppy Works.
Note that this is a demo, and not a full game. Please consider following the game's development on Tumblr or Twitter.

Thanks, Riggy, I appreciate the kind words and all the positive comments on the stream encouraged me a lot :]
This game shows a lot of promise! The art direction feels very charming, with good use of mixed media and an interesting use of music as punctuation to a backdrop of silence and ambient sounds (as opposed to the other way around). Compelling writing and interesting use of RPGMaker 2003's limited framework. I'm curious to see where the full game is going!
Thanks a bunch, LeafLet :]
